Is going full blast with this one. They need to really bring titles out that push this thing. At this point they have to show that they care about motion controls this time. Not like with the Sixaxis.
Did it ever occur to you that the people trying out Project Natal both at the show, and E3 were not good gamers? Then you throw in a new control scheme and you expect them to be doing laps, scoring 749500 points or something? Get real...
Project Natal is legit, and between now and it's release things are going to just get better. I know the games are coming, but they have to be great or this whole thing is a moot point.
Also for the love of everything holy can we pleas...
You can tell who's played this game and those that skimmed through it. On the surface it may seem bland, but once you get the mechanics right it opens in play. Now in terms of the games structure and graphics? I have to side with many of the reviews. It seems that Radical's focus was on the action, not much beyond that in the gameplay design. Which is where it falls short of Infamous. Infamous had a structure to it that was fun and purposeful. You never get a wasted moment playing Infamous. A...
If folks are giving Prototype anything less than a 7 don't read or listen to another word they say. This is a game where you kinda create your own action experience. It's all about the abilities, and the ways you can get in on the action. There are areas of focus that could have been better. I'd go into it, but then I'd be giving away trade secrets. Point is if you haven't played it, I think you should rent it. The game is an action version of Crackdown and Spiderman mixed in for good measure...
I have to say I enjoyed it. It's a popcorn action game, with some depth. I agree the story is bleh, but the action is cake. When you get the hang of it you can do some amazing stunts. Avoiding bullets, moving in slow mo, jumping around enemies, the combat has alot going for it. I doubt these guys really dug into the game from reading it. I do agree that the game is no better than a 7.5 or a solid 8 I'd say. Playing it on the PS3 was fun. It took a sec for me to get a hang of the controls and ...
Kojima use Project Natal in some areas for Metal Gear Rizing? That would go a long way for people to get an idea of how the tech could be used for hardcore gaming and a recognized property. Would be interesting I think.
and agree with articles like this out of fear, and hate. It's not like they can disprove that Microsoft is lying and Natal doesn't work. Especially if the contrary to this are many editors, and game industry people have played it and say it works. It's the layman hater who can't move beyond his own bigotry. Rather he/she is built to deny, and attach something they believe is similar to what is beyond what we have never seen before. Natal is not the Eyetoy...It's not something put together for ...
Absolutely wrong on that. From what has been said at the behind the scenes Burnout Paradise was the game many journalist played using Project Natal. That is not a casual's game by any stretch of your imagination. In fact I didn't hear what game the PS3 motion controller actually was demoed with. Did you see any? There clearly is video, and word of mouth, websites stating that Project Natal can and will be used for not just casual games. Don't be blinded by what you think, go with what is fact...
Did you see how many times those Sony demonstrators missed their target objects? You didn't see that in Kudo's demonstration of Natal, nor when that girl was hitting the ball game. She was constantly active in game. Sony's presentation was all tech demo. Not even game related. The girl actually was gaining points, not to mention she had power ups as she got better. We saw all of that in a brief demo. Everytime people have doubted Microsoft this generation it's proven to work against them. Pro...
GT never has great environments. Tend to be matte paintings, and other trickery. Still a great racing title. Forza 3 looks gorgeous in these photos. Forza 2 was a really fun racing sim. Hopefully does steps it up like the developers said.
The Eye toy technology for Natal, then Sony car jacked Nintendo's Wiimote. You had two guys on stage with a device in their hands that had a ball on it. Other than that it's just the Wiimote 2.0. What's worse is Sony stole from Nintendo twice when Kutragi put his smug face on stage with a Sixaxis controller after seeing the Wiimote. Sony thought they trumped them. Sad that people can't see that Project Natal is far ahead of having something in your hand to play with. Fear is blinding, don't l...
that think Natal is only for casual gamers haven't paid attention. How is it that every media outlet that's has tried Natal has stated that it indeed works as the demo has shown? You naysayers can't believe how advanced Microsoft has been able to get with motion. Fine we get it you are a hater. What is important is that this is something that we as gamers will all benefit from. This is not knocking Sony's motion control, because I think it was interesting also. The exception I have with the S...
Is that it's built for this generation. How far along are Microsoft with the technology is the real question, and what other titles do they plan to create with this in mind? I think they should sign some deals with a couple of publishers and work with them so that out the gate games work. I guess it would be exclusive in a way, and continue down their DLC path. Just some thoughts. Project Natal is so ahead of the curve.
The Xbox 360 is successful, and the arcade model is cheaper than the Wii. The Wii has shown us that people not only want games like this they are willing to go to huge lengths to enjoy the platform. 2 out four of the top selling Wii games are all interactive. Wii Sports, and Wii fit. So to say Project Natal looks exhausting means you have totally dismissed why the Nintendo Wii is successful. People play for the freedom of not having to use controllers. Project Natal didn't show us demos. Ther...
Justifying having something in your hand versus nothing and getting better feedback and control? I mean forget who won. What tech was better, and actually displayed well?
Dude crack is wack. Leave it alone. You hold that roll-on/dildo for two hours. I'll just move my hand and relax without a cramp. If Sony had released this, and Microsoft hand that dumb ball thingy, with some kid missing everytime he swung. I'd be crapping all over them...Unreal
